Here’s another installment in the ongoing series “What fits inside a VZWrap?” Today, we tackle medium bags. Our medium bags are 17″ wide by 18″ high (some of the older bags are closer to 19″). All of the items shown below have either been received as a gift by someone in my family or given by one of us. Can you match up the presents with the bags they’re wrapped in? The answers come at the end of this post.
Quite an assortment of items, some of which would be really tricky to wrap in paper. Here’s the lowdown of what went where:
Clue — It was Miss Scarlet in the Conservatory with the Candlestick! The box measures 10 1/2″ square by 3″ deep. It’s hiding inside the Monkeys gift bag!
Double Wine Bucket — A great gift. Keeps two bottles of wine cold with plenty of room for ice and no leaks! It measures 15″ wide x 7″ high x 8″ deep. Trying to wrap it with those handles popping out the side would be quite a challenge. But popping it inside of the Candy Canes gift bag took about 20 seconds.
Snowman Kit — Fun for the little guys and helpful when all the rocks and sticks are covered with snow. The box is 10 1/2″ wide x 6″ high x 4 1/2″ deep and it’s inside the Christmas Cookies bag. (I really should have put it inside the Snowflakes bag, but it’s too late now!)
Two Cookbooks — I could read cookbooks like novels and love getting them as gifts. The books are 8″ wide x 10″ high and are 2″ deep when stacked together. I could have fit several more inside the Ladybugs gift bag.
Football — I learned more about football sizing than I ever cared to know using this ball. Apparently this is a full-size non-professional ball, so something that would be used by most adults or teenagers for touch or flag football. It is not a full-size professional ball which are supposedly even bigger. Too much info for me! Of course, I put the football into the Sports bag. Pretty obvious.
Red Serving Platter — This is wrapped inside its box which is 13 1/2″ long x 7 1/2″ wide x 2″ deep. I used the Tropical Blue bag for this one. The flowers seemed to compliment the birds on the platter.
13″ MacBook Pro — My daughter is one lucky college student with this combined birthday/Christmas present. The laptop went into the Gold Damask gift bag, and it’s 14 1/4″ wide x 10 1/2″ tall x 3 1/2″ deep.
Christmas Cookie Cutters — A round container with a separate handle at the top. This would not look too good with paper wrapped around it, but put it inside the Snowflake bag and it looks great. The container is 5 1/2″ in diameter and 9″ high without the handle.
Large Sweatshirt — This is a really bulky, men’s Large, zip-up sweatshirt. Of course you could squeeze it into a shirt box, but why waste a box. I just popped it into the Black Happy Birthday gift bag, and it’s ready to go.
